Grand Kasumi Fabric
An English company, Bennison specialises in beautiful hand-printed fabrics and walllpapers based on 18th and 19th Century English and French textiles, originally discovered and reproduced by the late, renowned antique dealer and decorator, Geoffrey Bennison. Liz Galbraith & Ephraim Paul
Made with a craftsman’s hand. Designed with an artist’s eye. Dedicated to the studio workshop tradition. Founded in Philadelphia in 1986 by Liz Galbraith and Ephraim Paul, Galbraith & Paul is a studio workshop specialising in hand block printed textiles and studio printed wallpaper. The studio is the soul of their business, where artisans work together to create fabrics with a subtle and elegant spirit all their own. With everything they do, they strive to meet the highest standards in design and craftsmanship. Their hope is that when you look at their products, the love for what they do shines through.
Nicola Lawrence is delighted to introduce the Los Angeles based textiles and wallpaper atelier, Lake August. A love of land, sea and sky is reflected in the designs of this collection. Whether observing a tangle of agave and nasturtium plans in her native California, or admiring the grace of geese over water in Scotland, designer Alexis Hartman finds endless inspiration in the natural world. Her designs range from the illustrative to the abstract, but the mark of the artist is always apparent. The creative process at Lake August always starts with a pencil or paintbrush. Drawings, paintings or hand-carved blocks are translated into patterns which are then printed by hand onto linen or wallpaper. The production process involves a search for like-minded, environmentally conscious artisans, vendors and producers of fabrics and papers from around the world. With each pattern, product or collection natural materials and traditional techniques are eagerly explored. All of Lake August’s fabrics and wallpapers are printed in the USA, using non toxic water-based inks. These standards make the Lake August products ‘well-made’ in the truest sense of the term.
Nicole Fabre Designs
Nicole Fabre Designs Ltd was established in 2001 by Nicole Fabre who was joined shortly after by John Laflin, former Design Director of Liberty of London Prints. Prior to creating her company Nicole collected and dealt in antique fabrics (situated for many years on the Kings Road, London) and is considered a leading authority in antique toiles, Indiennes and woven French fabrics. Her particular interest has been for French antique textiles dating from the late 17th century to the early 19th century. This knowledge and collection has led to Nicole and John developing a variety of designs, from natural linens and hand weaves to exquisite prints which are hand screen printed onto beautiful, natural basecloths. The Nicole Fabre collection, Levant, was awarded Highly Commended, Collection of the Year in the 2015 World of Interior Design Awards. This is a very beautiful collection which Nicole Lawrence is thrilled to offer. It will be perfect wherever it is used.
