Joanne Piechota is an Australian artist/photographer capturing ethereal, timeless and dreamy photographic landscape art. Joanne’s passion for pushing boundaries with her camera culminated in the creation of her abstract landscapes, where all the work is done analogically whilst capturing the images - with little to no digital post production. Surprising and delighting the eye, Joanne’s photographic works aims to find beauty in the unusual and unexpected. Equal parts exciting, inspiring and moving, her art has been said to create a sense of calmness, beautifully elevating the spaces where it is displayed and sparking inspired conversations.

Fall Into Dreams

Joanne Piechota

I had a towel draped over my camera to protect it from the rain, lifting it to snap a picture, before placing it back over the lens to keep it as free from as many rain drops as possible. I was practically shooting blind, but the beach had a special feel about it so I knew standing in the rain would be worth it. Photographed at Broken Head late in the day, I adore the subtle colours and dream like feel of this image. This image has been captured and produced without any digital manipulation.

Gunnamatta I

Joanne Piechota

Photographed at Gunnamatta Surf Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. I was the first one there for the day, but that didn’t take long to change. The water was cold as I stood knee deep, the fishermen I’m sure, questioning what I was doing. To the naked eye, Gunnamatta wasn’t overly spectacular on this morning. I love to find beauty in the unusual and unexpected. This image has been captured and produced without any digital manipulation.
